LCRF Announces RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel as Keynote Speaker for 55th Annual Spring Gala
The Lake County Republican Federation announces Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel will be the Keynote Speaker for its 55th Anniversary Spring Gala. The event takes place on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, Illinois. The cocktail reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m.
"We are delighted to welcome Chairwoman McDaniel as the keynote speaker for this year’s Spring Gala," said Federation President Larry Falbe. "It will be her first engagement in Illinois since her election in January, so we are excited to hear what she has to say about the future of the party."
Chairwoman McDaniel was recently elected on January 18th to replace Reince Priebus, who became Chief of Staff for the Trump administration. McDaniel started in Republican politics as a driver for her mother’s U.S. Senate race in 1994 and worked her way up through various campaigns over the years. She led the effort to win Michigan for President Trump last November, serving as state Republican Chairwoman. It was the first time in 28 years that a Republican Presidential candidate won Michigan.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is appearing at this event only as the keynote speaker and is not asking for funds or donations.
The goal of the Lake County Republican Federation's Annual Spring Gala is to raise the funds necessary for a successful 2018 election campaign. Proceeds will be used towards grassroots organizing efforts, upgrading technology, maintaining Lake County Republican Headquarters, and providing staff support for the Lake County GOP.
